RythmZ of the Caribbean has been entertaining audiences in Georgia since the group's first public performance in December 2009. The group is now well known for its colorful costumes, charming smiles and animated performances. RythmZ popularity continues to grow as they delight audiences of all ages with their lively performances. RythmZ of the Caribbean, Inc. is a non-profit organization and members of the group are all volunteers.
Musical Director, Kathy Gordon, is a former Musical Director of the Cari-Folk Singers in Jamaica. She has more than 30 years experience in researching, documenting and performing Caribbean folk music. Kathy has been passionate about folk music since childhood and the results can be seen in her drive for excellence.
RythmZ of the Caribbean endeavors not only to entertain, but also to educate the public about Caribbean folklore and in so doing, maintain the cultural integrity and identity of the Caribbean population away from home.
All members of the group recognize the importance of sharing aspects of their fascinating heritage with others, particularly the youth, so that they will understand, appreciate and become involved with their cultural traditions.
The group has grown in membership since inception and is constantly searching for new singers who share its vision and who are willing to volunteer and to dedicate the necessary time and effort to promote its mission.
